Step into the studio and explore the art of minimalist fashion photography, where clean styling, confident posing, controlled lighting and intentional composition come together to create striking editorial imagery.

Bare Essentials is a hands-on photography workshop designed for photographers who want to develop their fashion and editorial photography skills while working with a professional model in a carefully styled, minimalist studio environment.

Led by professional photographer Matthew Beswick, the workshop will take you through the creative process behind producing polished, contemporary fashion imagery. You’ll have the opportunity to photograph professional model Willow, experiment with lighting and composition, and receive practical guidance on how to create images that feel sophisticated, natural and editorial.

Rather than relying on elaborate sets or complicated concepts, this workshop focuses on simplicity and execution; using clean backgrounds, considered posing, flattering light and strong composition to make the subject the centre of the image.

Matthew will demonstrate how to approach a fashion shoot from both a technical and creative perspective, including how to communicate with your model, direct poses, find flattering angles and make the most of a minimalist studio setup.
